Fascinating article in STAT about how SARS-CoV-2, aka #COVID19, is able to hijack the body’s defenses and destroy the host. The solution is hinted at in this essay. Glad I paid attention when I was studying microbiology, immunology and molecular biology. The culprit then was HIV, as yet undiscovered.
