Members of the U.S. House of Representatives voted 344-77 to fund the 21st Century Cures Act. The Act would help speed the development and regulatory approval of new medical treatments.
If passed, there would be an additional $9.3 billion in mandatory funding over the next five years to fund the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and establish a Cures Innovation Fund to support work toward pioneering biomedical research.
